Synopsis

In the aftermath of the Infinity Saga, the Guardians of the Galaxy are still reeling from the loss of Gamora. However, their mourning is interrupted when they receive a distress signal from the planet Xander. Upon arriving, they discover that the planet has been invaded by a powerful alien armada led by the High Evolutionary.

The High Evolutionary is a geneticist who believes that he can create a perfect race of beings. He has been abducting people from across the galaxy to experiment on them, and he plans to use the Guardians of the Galaxy to further his twisted agenda.

The Guardians must team up with their old friend Adam Warlock, who has recently been resurrected, to stop the High Evolutionary and save the day. However, they soon discover that the High Evolutionary is not the only threat they face. The Guardians of the Galaxy must also contend with the Ravagers, who are led by Yondu's old friend Stakar Ogord.

As the Guardians of the Galaxy fight for their lives, they must also confront their own personal demons. Star-Lord must come to terms with the loss of Gamora, while Rocket Raccoon must confront his past as a test subject. Drax must learn to control his anger, and Groot must find his place in the world.

In the end, the Guardians of the Galaxy must learn to work together as a team to defeat their enemies and save the galaxy.
